PR Shop provides three distinct services to the PR industry; consultancy, headhunting, agency search.

Matt Wood, founder and MD, has worked in PR for 20 years for famous UK and international brands.  He launched Amazon and eBay into the UK market, and has worked for many other brands including Tesco, MTV, Umbro, Vans and Orange.

He built well-known London agency Joe Public Relations from scratch, and has also led management teams for other ventures.

PR Shop has consulted for Golden Goose PR and The Brooklyn Brothers, plus it has its own PR and copyrighting clients, which currently include Auntie Anne’s, the world’s largest pretzel snack chain.

The company has also headhunted and placed senior talent into great roles many times.

Consultancy

Someone very important once said: “Each success only buys an admission ticket to a more difficult problem.” PR Shop can:

Take on PR work for clients large or small, including building a PR and communications strategy and plan for your business, and implementing that plan.

Undertake copyrighting work for websites, brochures, newsletters and press releases.

Work with other PR and communications agencies when they have sudden spikes in activity, whether it’s new business pitching, facilitating creative work, or ongoing client work.

Work with other agencies on internal operational challenges to do with HR, mergers and acquisitions, growth strategy and positioning.

Headhunting

PR Shop specialises in finding and placing senior talent from Account Director right through to CEO for positions in PR consultancy, both in agency and in-house.

Matt has a vast network of contacts in the industry and is different to most headhunters in that he’s been on the other side of the fence for years at MD and CEO level, and has built management teams from scratch.

He takes a very personal approach to briefs and knows what to look for from a skills, experience and cultural point of view. He can also help formulate job specs and consult on team structure.

If you’re looking for a new challenge, call Matt for a chat about current opportunities.

Agency Search

There are thousands of PR agencies in the UK. If you’re a business looking for PR support, where do you start if you’re unfamiliar with the industry? If PR Shop isn’t right for the job, it can:

Work with you to write a clear agency brief.

Consult on the skills, size, structure, culture and work ethic an agency needs to be able to answer a brief.

Help formulate a long-list of agencies and attend credentials meetings.

Help draw-up a short-list of agencies for pitch, develop selection criteria, attend pitches and make an appointment.

Consult on agency remuneration packages and contracts.
